Harvest Supper 2024
Harvest Supper sponsorship is now live!
See below to explore our sponsorship levels and secure four tickets before general ticketing opens.
We are thrilled to announce the return of our Harvest Supper, on Friday, November 1 and Saturday, November 2 at 7 p.m.! As part of our ongoing crowdfunding campaign, the Harvest Supper is our most impactful fundraising event of the year. Proceeds from this event will support construction of the certified on-farm kitchen and culinary classroom we need in order to grow our business and expand our important cultural preservation work.
The Harvest Supper includes a six-course menu (along with plenty of surprises) featuring some of our favorite dishes and the very best ingredients from the late-fall harvest. Specially crafted nonalcoholic beverages will be paired with each course. Guests may bring their own wine or beer.
Joining us for the 2024 Harvest Supper is a very special guest, our good friend, Chef Abra Berens from Granor Farm in southern Michigan. Abra has been nominated for multiple James Beard Awards, both as a chef at Granor Farm and as an author of several cookbooks, including “Ruffage: A Practical Guide to Vegetables”, “Grist: A Practical Guide to Cooking Grains, Beans, Seeds, and Legumes”, and “Pulp: A Practical Guide to Cooking with Fruit”. We’re so grateful for Abra’s support, and we look forward to collaborating with her for the 2024 Harvest Supper!
“We, as Americans, have lost some connection to the life-giving work of growing and preparing food. Amy and Mike are not only standard bearers for rekindling that bond through the work at Lost Creek, but they are furthering it by preserving the foodways of Appalachia and presenting them to a new audience. I'm honored to be a part of helping them grow their dream (and their work) and hope you will join us.” - Chef Abra Berens
Your Contributions Make a Difference!
Last year’s Harvest Supper was a smashing success! The event gave us tremendous end-of-season momentum, which we leveraged to make big, big progress in 2024! In April, we won the $100,000 top prize at the Hayhurst Invitational pitch competition. We made tremendous strides in our crowdfunding efforts and continued to grow our Patreon community. We recently secured a major gift dedicated to seed-preservation work in our culinary classroom. This summer, we finalized construction plans and lined up a team of contractors that’s ready to get started. Friends, after many years of planning, we are SO close! A successful Harvest Supper helps offset sky-high construction costs and will allow us to complete the expansion we need as quickly as possible!
An expanded, commercially certified, kitchen at the farm will allow us to conduct our work at Lost Creek Farm, rather than in the rental kitchen where we’re currently required to work before our on-farm events. The plans include a covered dining porch, so we can host our popular dinner events outdoors, rain or shine, during the warmer months. The culinary classroom we envision includes a teaching space with dedicated rooms for heirloom seed saving and traditional fermentation techniques. This facility will be a game-changer for Lost Creek Farm and our community. Every dollar we raise alleviates a hefty, high-interest debt burden and allows us to prioritize our community work around culinary education and Appalachian cultural preservation.
